Patron of the Arts

Multiple Sponsorship opportunities exist for United Jewish Federation of Tidewater and the Simon Family Jewish Community Center. The Lee and Bernard Jaffe Family Jewish Book Festival, Virginia Festival of Jewish Film presented by Alma and Howard Laderberg, Israel Today, and Israel Fest presented by Avraham & Karen Ashkenazi, are among the ways to reach and support the Jewish and Great Tidewater Communities.


BeAR

Be A Reader (BeAR) literary program, part of the Community Relations Council of United Jewish Federation of Tidewater, was created as a community-wide effort of volunteers to help at-risk, struggling readers acquire the skills and love for learning that lead to personal happiness and future success.

One Night

An annual signature fundraising event, last year’s One Night celebrated Israeli cuisine, philanthropy, and community. James Beard multi-award-winning chef, Michael Solomonov, and over 130 guests helped raise funds for children’s and special needs programming at the Simon Family JCC.
