Shalom Baby is a special gift bag delivery service that helps area Jewish families celebrate the birth or adoption of their babies, and welcomes them to the Tidewater Jewish community. Shalom Baby is a program oof the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater/ Simon Family JCC in partnership with Strelitz International Academy and PJ Library in Tidewater.


Approximately 3-6 weeks after your due date or baby’s birth, Nofar Trem, Manager of Youth and Teen Experiences, will be in contact with you to schedule a time to deliver your bag to you and your new baby at home.

Our Shalom Baby bag is filled with goodies for you and your baby, resources and information about everything Jewish baby in Tidewater! Whether it’s your first child, fourth child, or if you recently adopted a baby - Shalom Baby is for you!
